What is Fake Page Rank?
Pagerank fraud is becoming a serious problem. When someone is offering a domain name for sale, they can artificially inflate the domain's PR. It is achieved when offending domains use a 301 or 302 redirects that point their sites to sites with a high Pagerank. This is a well known trick in the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) world, but people who aren't familiar with SEO are most likely to fall for this.
Enter a domain name like [info:www.domain-A.com]in Google Search. If the URL from the results is the same as the domain you entered, then its okay. However, if you see URL: http//www.domain-B.com then it's a fake.

Ranking high on Google you need to create an attractive and useful page, something that people will want to come back to. If other web site administrators like your site they might post links to it on their own pages. All the external links your web page gets are analyzed and computed by Google through a process called PageRank, an innovative search algorithm that processes text information from their web page database a lot faster than other search engines. The higher you page rank,the closer you are to being in the top search results. A good rank can send your page somewhere in the first 1-100 search results shown by the search engine in a particular field. PageRank ranges from 0 to 10, with pages between 6-10 being considered high ranking in Google's search engine.
Building Relevant Backlinks
The major search engines determine the importance of a website based on the number of links pointing to it from other websites. Websites with an excessive number of incoming links are considered to be popular and important. On the other hand, websites that have little or no incoming links are deemed unimportant by the search engines and end up getting hopelessly lost in the millions of search results. Most webmasters do not realize the importance of link popularity. In fact, over 90% of all websites on the Internet have less than 10 links pointing to them. This means that the remaining 10% are dominating the major search engine results. To get your website into that 10% you need more links!
